Manitoba Open Participants:

Thank you for participating in the Manitoba Open.  CurlManitoba is extremely proud of the tradition of this annual event and the pride and enthusiasm curlers have in participating and continuing to making it the largest bonspiel in the World.  This year there are 238 teams participating in the Manitoba Open full event and 64 participating in the HALFspiel.  This is the fifth time running the HALFspiel and the second time it has been full with 64 teams.  Unfortunately, this year the Manitoba Open event is 18 teams short of its goal of 256 teams.

The Manitoba Open is a 13 event bonspiel using 14 curling clubs.  The draw for the event is complicated with multiple events and drops as teams progress through the bonspiel.  Due to being 18 teams short, a number of teams will receive a bye. This cannot be avoided and we apologize for the inconvenience. The bye counts as a game and a win just as it would if the opposition defaulted.  Manitoba Open headquarters will be attempting to have the byes be as non-disruptive as possible.

As you travel from club to club please support these clubs and thank the volunteers who help CurlManitoba at every club who make this event a success!!
