The Manitoba Curling Hall of Fame & Museum (MCHoF&M) has announced plans for a Heather Helston Memorial Fund in tribute to the memory of the organization’s longtime volunteer Curator.
The MCHoF&M Directors and volunteers were saddened by the recent passing of Heather Helston, a dear friend and the long-time curator of the Manitoba Curling Museum.
The Manitoba Curling Hall of Fame & Museum was Heather’s ‘passion project’. Over more than 35 years, she invested innumerable hours in providing the leadership to develop the Manitoba Curling Museum as one of the finest collections of curling artifacts, documents and historical images in the world.
She loved working in the collection – both the administrative detail of tracking the history and ensuring the details were recorded AND the opportunities to create exhibits to inform people about Manitoba’s rich curling history.
To honour Heather’s memory, the Board of Directors has established a Heather Helston Memorial Fund with the first $1,500+ contributions coming from the individual Directors themselves.
Those who knew and loved Heather are invited to help continue Heather’s contribution to preserving and celebrating Manitoba’s curling heritage by contributing to the Heather Helston Memorial Fund.
An official charitable donation receipt will be issued.

Cheques, payable to Manitoba Curling Hall of Fame & Museum, may be sent c/o CurlManitoba, 309-145 Pacific Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R3B 2Z6
