CurlManitoba hosted the Manitoba’s Credit Unions Master Men’s and Women’s Provincial Championship from March 13-17, 2019 at the Stonewall Curling Club. There were 16 men’s and 4 women’s teams competing for the right to represent Manitoba at the 2019 Canadian Masters Curling Championships being held April 1-7, 2019 in Saskatoon, SK.
On the men’s side, in a hard fought battle, it was Team Gord McTavish (Pembina) that won 6-2 over the Jim Renwick team from Brandon. The game was tied 2-2 after 6 ends when Renwick under curled on a hit and gave up the steal of four.
On Sunday on the women’s side, it was the Sandra Cowling Team from Hamiota that was victorious over Gwen Wooley and her team from Morden. Congratulations to Sandra Cowling, Sheila Gregory, Wenda Turner and Jeannine Skayman on your victory.
