Congratulations to Manitobans, Dennis Thiessen and James Anseeuw, who have been included among the five Canadian Wheelchair curlers named by Curling Canada to compete in the 2018 Paralympics in Korea.
Thiessen is a veteran of international curling, having won a Paralympic Gold Medal in 2014 as second for Team Canada and a Gold Medal in the 2013 World Wheelchair Championship as third for Team Canada. Thiessen was also a member of Team Canada at the 2015 and 2016 Worlds. He will play on the Canadian team in Korea.
Anseeuw will get his first taste of international action as the fifth on the Canadian Paralympic Team in Korea in 2018. He has been a teammate of Thiessen in winning the 2014 and 2017 Canadian Championships.
